Vidhögeskolan is a K-9 school with approximately 570 students and 85 staff members. The school is located in the northern part of the municipality, right in the community of Veddige, with good transport links to Varberg and surrounding municipalities.

Our catchment area covers a large geographical region, and we receive students from Deromeskolan in grade 4. All classes have home classrooms with associated group rooms, and there are well-equipped special rooms for practical/aesthetic subjects. We also have Flex activities at the school. There are also good opportunities in the subject of sports as we have access to various sports halls and are close to an ice rink, as well as an outdoor environment that promotes movement.

At our school, we believe that safety and well-being are important for both students and staff, and students have access to health staff every day of the week. Development projects prioritized and ongoing at the school include motivating and engaging teaching and accessible education. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Your tasks will include:

• Guiding and supporting teams and individual educators at the organizational, group, and individual levels.
• Conducting and documenting pedagogical investigations.
• Collaborating with teachers to establish action plans and evaluate implemented measures.
• Working on cross-school assignments where special pedagogical competence is needed.
• Being part of the student health team and participating in the school's development of student health competence.
• Coordinating efforts regarding student cases.
• Working directly with support for students in need of extra adjustments or special support.
• Collaborating with EHT in student cases or supervision situations.
• Providing support to mentors in their mentoring tasks.

As a special education teacher in Varberg Municipality, you are an important part of the school's student health team. You have close collaboration with the principal, special teachers, and other professionals to develop and implement measures that strengthen students' knowledge development and well-being. You primarily work preventively and promote student welfare while guiding and supporting teachers in adapting teaching and learning environments at the individual and group levels.

By teaching, guiding, and collaborating with teachers and other professionals, you contribute to developing the quality of education and creating structures and processes that endure over time. You have a humble, formative approach and share and absorb knowledge to strengthen the school's goals. QUALIFICATIONS

• We are looking for someone with a special education degree.
• It is advantageous if you have worked with students in need of extra adjustments, support, and students with school absenteeism.
• You have good knowledge of clarifying pedagogy.
